Nokia hints at October unveiling for the Lumia 1520

Nokia has confirmed that it will be holding a special event on October 22nd.

The company posted a tweet on its official Twitter account telling followers to save the date.
Nokia has not confirmed where it will be holding the event. However, it has confirmed that it will not be in the US. It launched the Lumia 1020 handset in New York earlier this year.
The tweet features skiers on sand dunes. That has led some to suggest that Nokia may be planning to announce its rumoured phablet, the Lumia 1520, in the Middle East.
We’ve tapped up our contacts in the Middle East event industry to see if Nokia is planning anything out there.
The invite also features the words #blazing #stories and #innovationinvented.
The Lumia 1520 is rumoured to be a six-inch smartphone. According to previous reports, the Lumia 1520 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and have a six-inch 1080p display, 32GB of storage and an SD slot.
Reports have speculated that it may contain the same camera as the recently released Lumia 925.
Previously, rumours had speculated that Nokia would be holding an event on September 26th. However, this latest tweet appears to rule out that now happening.
